The Booker Award

I received this award from fellow blogger, Leanne, over at

http://mindfulness4now.wordpress.com in September; however, as it’s October you can see I am not great at responding to these things in a timely manner. I very much appreciate the award however and want to say thank you so am doing what I should have a month ago now. Better late than never!

The guidelines, as far as I can tell, are to list the top five books I’ve read and what I’m currently reading. Then five other blogs are chosen as my nominees based on me seeing them as a fellow book lover (paper or electronic) and well read in general. This will be especially difficult so do not be hurt if I don’t pick your blog. Five is very few so many deserving blogs will be omitted. Also, I am trying to pick blogs I didn’t nominate for anything yet. So I tried not to pick blogs I chose yesterday for a different award again to be fair to others. Congratulations to you if I chose you! Participation is completely voluntary so do not feel any pressure.

The Top 5 Books I’ve Read:

  1. Care of the Soul by Thomas Moore
  2. The Transcendent Child by L.B. Rubin
  3. She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb
  4. When the Past is Present by David Richo
  5. Thou Shalt Not Be Aware by Alice Miller

Books I’m Currently Reading:

  1. Osho: Living Dangerously by Osho
  2. Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman

  1. I’m all for emotional intelligence! I think it’s more important than the “regular” kind, and probably harder to come by. Wish I had more time to read these days!

  2. Congrats again. Keep on going.

  3. Delighted to roll out the old red carpet once more! Thank you for nominating me. I am very pleased to be selected for your elite crew! I have just finished a book, so need to get another one on the go. This is such a hardship!
However, like you, I may be a little slow at the participation. Hope that’s OK.

  4. thank you darling, and congrats on the award yourself! i never know quite how to feel about accepting these things. though i do support the idea of giving people invisible gifts as opposed to material ones. hmm.

    ❤
