Reflections on Life Thus Far

More De-Cluttering(is that a word? lol)

For economical reasons I live with my dad and often bemoan the fact he hangs onto a lot of clutter. Well, today was my lucky day as he decided to donate a load of blankets, towels and sheets to the Salvation Army. Finally our linen cupboards look half decent! I think he’s making progress. He’s actually deciding to get rid of things he had trouble parting with just a year ago. It’s all stuff he wasn’t using and hadn’t been used in a very long time but he just wasn’t able to part with it until now. So I feel proud of him and hope he keeps it up, as we have more things to purge yet!

Next on the clutter purging agenda: two old bikes, a headboard and bed frame. He says he’ll get rid of these too and I’m making sure he doesn’t put it off for ages like in the past. Fingers crossed.

My Zazzle designs are coming along nicely. I’ve added more products and now have close to 40 items in my ‘shop’. If you haven’t visited the site yet and like being creative using the computer, this is the site to go to. Everything is free to create and you just design it how you like then sell the item for a royalty. It’s not a ‘get rich quick’ sort of thing by any means, unless of course you consider $50 rich! LOL, that’s the amount you need to make in order to ‘cash out’. If you’re selling stickers, buttons and paper it could be quite awhile before you cash out! So I do the moderate range stuff like t-shirts, mugs and electronics cases, etc. Definitely something you want to do because you like it, not for the profit…as there’s hardly any.

Anybody else enjoy making things and selling them? Arts and crafts are not really ‘my thing’ but I enjoy the Zazzle stuff since I just do everything on the computer. Has anyone tried etsy? I am enjoying getting my creativity exercised so think I’ll explore other sites too offering similar opportunities.

  1. you know it would be a great idea to have a link here to your Zazzle shop πŸ˜‰

  2. Hey, I have a link to my Zazzle shop on my blog, so don’t feel bad about that! You’ll really only make money on there if you promote your own stuff anyway, so go right ahead.

I’m so glad you’re having fun, and I’m glad you’re getting decluttered too (yes, that is definitely a word). Oh, and I have an Etsy shop too, although I’m not doing that as much anymore due to focusing more on my spiritual work. But I can help you with it if you like! πŸ™‚

  3. I love Etsy, but then I enjoy the process of actually making physical things. (Don’t enjoy the shipping part as much, but it’s part of the deal, I guess.) And just looking around Etsy at the creative stuff that other people are doing always inspires me!

I’m heading off to take a look at your Zazzle store now. That’s not one I was familiar with, so it’s cool to learn of a new creative place! πŸ™‚

  4. No! Go the Zazzle link. Nothing wrong with a little self promotion.
And hooray for you and your Dad taking the old linen to the Salvation Army. Imagine who that might help. People and pets too!
    Much love xoxo

  5. I clicked the link And it said no products found!! X

  6. yay for purging! i’ve felt that way about selling things on my site too. but wait until you see my new site. i’m hoping in time it will be my income. πŸ˜‰ Hubby always reminds me that i need to keep the integrity of my site in tact. so i’ve worked hard to incorporate both on the new site. have fun!

  7. It’s always such a good feeling to declutter our homes. Clutter causes anxiety for some of us and I hope the spaciousness in your place makes you feel good in your space. πŸ™‚

Its ok to post your business here…this IS your site and free to with as you please.

Do ppl still use mouse pads anymore?

I dont know which products would sell best or I would offer some advice. Maybe you can pose that as a question to your readers….

I saw a cool beer hoodie the other day on Pinterest that I will get for a relative.

I dont sell anything…but appreciate the spirit of entrepeneurship.

    • Thanks πŸ˜€
I use a mouse pad! LOL They are not that ancient! haha My laptop touch pad is harder to use than a mouse and I like to have a mouse pad for my mouse! It’s fiber optic/wireless but where it’s on my desk I like the pad for my wrist. They’re not essential but neither is any of the stuff I design on there! LMAO

  8. I LOVE shopping. I will definitely take a look at your shop. Good for you for continuing to clear out junk. I still have a ways to go.

  9. I love your stuff! Are these photos or paintings or a combination?

    • Thanks so much! πŸ˜€ They’re photos from my computer transferred onto the products. I tinker around with the images until I like what I see then put it up for sale. It’s actually fairly easy if you’re a regular computer user. Fun too πŸ˜€ Oh and FREE to create. Not free to buy though! LOL
